The GoBrandStrat Professor Challenge

Test our new 1-hour marketing simulation by stepping into your students’ role and seeing how it develops real decision-making skills.

GoBrandStrat Professor Challenge (1)

We invite you to take part in the very first GoBrandStrat Professor Challenge organized by StratX. It has been designed to offer professors the opportunity to test a new marketing strategy simulation, free of charge, and to evaluate its potential relevance for their own courses. By participating, you can explore a different approach to teaching and assessment in a simple, time-efficient format, and determine whether it could be meaningfully integrated into your curriculum. In addition, you can win some great prizes! 😊

What is the new GoBrandStrat simulation?

GoBrandStrat is a one-hour marketing simulation inspired by our other, longer simulations (Markstrat, etc). Your learners will prepare a one year strategic brand plan, testing different strategies before finalizing their plan.

They will define target segments, build a positioning, and set pricing and communication choices, with the objective of developing a coherent and effective brand strategy.

Their performance will be evaluated based on the results of their decisions in the market, reflecting your ability to balance strategic consistency and market impact. A clear, focused set of decisions will allow them to improve their performance and better understand the dynamics your students would experience.

It can replace a case study or be used for assessment purposes. It can be integrated with Markstrat as an evaluation tool or used as a standalone solution.

Maximize SPI

The Challenge

You will take on the role of a brand strategist for a firm in a competitive market.

Your mission is clear: plan and execute an annual brand plan to maximize your company's value, as reflected in the Share Price Index (SPI).

The SPI is a key measure of success, evolving annually based on the decisions you make. It factors in critical indicators such as net contribution, product market share, and revenue growth.

You’ll start with an SPI of 100. By the end of the simulation, a value above 100 signifies that you’ve successfully created value, while a value below 100 indicates value destruction.

The simulation challenge takes approximately one hour to complete and is designed for asynchronous participation. It can easily be accommodated within a busy schedule, allowing you to complete it at your convenience within the challenge timeframe.

Why Participate?

Participants will compete against other educators taking part in the challenge during the same period.

  • Experience a complete learning activity from a student perspective
  • Evaluate a new way to assess individual performance
  • You can choose to share and compare your results with other professors. Overall results will only display first name and country.
  • Explore a new simulation developed by StratX

This is an opportunity to test a concrete teaching format, not just discover a concept.

  • Develop a solid 1-year brand plan
  • Apply core marketing concepts such as targeting, positioning, pricing, and communication
  • Make strategic decisions in a competitive environment
  • Translate analysis into concrete actions
  • Perform individually, without relying on group work

The simulation generates a measurable outcome (SPI), providing a clear basis to assess performance based on decisions made.

Unlike team-based simulations, GoBrandStrat is played solo, making it the ideal assessment tool for measuring individual decision-making and strategic thinking.

Who can participate in the GoBrandStrat Challenge?

This challenge is reserved for educators (secondary, higher-education, MBA, executive and corporate learning).

How will the competition work?

Participants will receive access and instructions on how to play to the GoBrandStrat simulation, and will complete each of the 5 rounds of the simulation asynchonously at their own pace. Time to complete all of the rounds should take 1 hour. Teams will have from June 22nd until July 2nd 2026 to complete all 5 rounds. The top three participants will be announced after the challenge is complete.

  • 2nd Place: $300

During the simulation, you compete against AI-controlled teams within the market environment. However, your SPI will be compared with those of other participating professors to establish the final ranking.

Can this be used in my course afterward?

Yes. GoBrandStrat can be implemented in your course following the challenge; however, this is part of a paid offering. Our team can provide details and support if you are interested in using it with your students.
